Today, a fellow photographer told my friend and I that a Great Horned Owl had been seen in this park. We set off together to find it, but after a fair hike - and no sign, had given up and we parted ways. Shortly thereafter, I was pleasantly surprised to see the owl high in a tree just off the trail we were on!
